Energy Audit

Energy Audit is the key to a systematic approach for decision-making in the area of energy management. It attempts to balance the total energy inputs with its use, and serves to identify all the energy streams in a facility. It quantifies energy usage according to its discrete functions.

Need for Energy Audit

  • In an industry/commercial buildings /hotels/hospitals, the major operating cost goes for energy (either by electrical or by thermal).

  • Energy has the highest cost reduction potential compared to other cost reduction options in any facility.

  • Energy Audit will increases the reliability and profitability of the business

  • Energy Audit may reduce the carbon foot print of the industry by implementing energy conservation measures

  • Energy Audit will conserve the natural resources

Types of Audit

  • Preliminary Energy Audit

  • Targeted Energy Audit

  • Detailed Energy Audit

What You Get with an Energy Audit?

Preliminary review

Site personnel will provide the preliminary information’s like last one year electricity bills and fuel bills, list of utility available in the site and its information. This preliminary review helps to determine the plan for site survey and field measurements.

Site survey & field measurements

An onsite survey is performed to gather the specific information about the facility, past data collection & utility diagram. Using energy audit instruments, field measurements would be carried out for assessing the performance of various systems available in the site. Performance assessment may include electrical distribution systems, lighting system, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning system (HVAC), Diesel Generators system (DG), Water Pumping system, Boilers, Thermic Fluid Heaters, Compressors and Compressed Air System, Motor, etc.,

Energy Audit Report

Following site visit and field measurements, a Energy Audit report is issued. This report includes Executive Summary of Energy Conservation measures identified on site, present energy scenario, detailed analysis of the data obtained through field study, trial measurement, recommendations of energy audit with complete calculations.

Post Audit

After implementing the recommended energy conservation measures by the client, one day post audit would be carried out for assessing the impact of implemented energy conservation measure.
